Kisii county Governor James Ongwae has been accused of losing focus in development matters and instead is now looking much more into fighting his close competitors and neglecting the residents.
According to Nyaribabri Chache Constituency Development Fund (CDF) committee, the governor has left very many projects hanging despite the fact that he had promised to deliver within the period that he has been in office.
Led by the secretary to the committee Agnes Nyanduko they said that if the trend continues then the region will remain behind in terms of development and more enmity will be created hence there will be an uprise of clanism.
“When the governor was first elected he was fully focused compared to now and most of the projects that were initiated by the county are currently stuck and there is a need for him to wake up and report to his duty,” she added.
Nyanduko lamented that the current rising temperatures are the main cause the region was lagging behind in terms of development.
They were speaking on Tuesday when they delivered iron sheets to Ritumbe primary school in Nyaribabri Chache.
