Kisii Governor James Ongwae has insisted that he is ready to work with and Omingo Magara weeks after rumors emerged of their planned reunion.
Ongwae has fallen out with his Deputy Joash Maangi is reportedly keen to secure the support of the outspoken former South Mugirango MP as his Deputy in 2017 elections.
Speaking in South Mugirango during a visit to former assistant Minister David Kombo who had lost his mother, Ongwae insisted that he was keen to work with people from South Mugirango and particularly insisting on Omingo.
‘I am always flexible to work with people who are willing to make Kisii County shine. There comes a time when development is important than day to day politics which adds nothing to the people,” he said.
“Working with the people of South Mugirango is the greatest thing for me particularly when I am guided by my brother Omingo. I am always willing to work with him now and in the future,” he added.
Mr Ongwae has come up with a parallel team which is opposed to the other faction lead by Senator Chris Obure which consists of Janet Ong’era (Women Rep ), Sam Ong’eri( Senator) and Omingo Magara as his Deputy.
