The governor intends to share experiences with the young leaders on how the governor's office functions and discharges service delivery to the citizens.

Ongwae said that he would be inviting the young leaders to accompany him for one week to learn leadership skills from him as part of his youth leadership and mentorship strategy to prepare the youthful leaders to take over leadership from current leaders in the future.

Speaking at the Kisii Culture Hall during the closing of the international Youth Day celebrations, Ongwae encouraged youth leaders to make their leadership potential and skills practical through engagement with the county leadership on issues of leadership and governance.

Ongwae underscored the importance of having constructive engagement between the youth and the county government to ensure young people in the county to participate in policy making.

"I am taking the issue of engaging with our young people seriously, that’s why I am inviting their leaders from this county for a one week leadership orientation in my office during which they will be accorded an opportunity of accompanying me while discharging my official functions both in the office and in the field for them to learn from me how the office of the governor functions," said Ongwae.
