Kisii County governor James Ongwae has been lauded for efforts to upgrade roads in Bonchari constituency.
This is after doing a murram and opening of interior roads on Tuesday last week.
On Wednesday, while speaking at Itiero area residents led by John Oseko said Ongwae is doing a great to improve the roads.
“We are calling on political losers opposing Ongwae’s leadership to keep calm and allow him to work. The road from Itiero – Kirwanda has been impassable for over 5 years but the governor has started upgrading it as he promised. We want performers not people with empty promises, “said Oseko.
Albert Mogeni added that traders and farmers from Kirwanda area will now transport their products to Suneka and Daraja Mbili markets to sell.
“Muddy on the road will now be a past tense in the area. Ongwae should upgrade all roads across the county to ease transport,” said Mogeni.
