The Kisii County governor, James Ongwae has launched a water project at Keumbu in Nyaribari Chache Constituency.

Speaking on Monday at Keumbu when launching the project, Ongwae said his county government put the project in the area to help the people who have been suffering from the scarcity of water for long time ago.

The water project is going to serve more than 5,000 people according to the governor including Keumbu Health Centre, Keumbu Youth Polytechnic School, St pauls Amasago Boys High School and other area residents.

Ongwae promised to put such water projects in every ward where there is scarcity of water to rescue people from such sufferings.

“Area people including various institutions here lamented over the lack of water and, My county government agreed with you and put aside some funds that has used to put this water in the area and now here there is water that is to going to serve you every day,” noted Ongwae

The governor challenged area residents to work with his county government to promote the county in development

“I am always willing to do development and let every individual join and work with my government to promote ourselves in developments,” added Ongwae.
