Kisii town boda-boda operators now want the Kisii county government to repair the Nyankongo junction-Tuskys road which they say has been sidelined.
On Wednesday the riders said on the road had many potholes between Ufanisi resort and Nyankongo primary which allegedly hinders transportation of commuters.
John Ratemo a long time serving rider said he once lost control when his motorcycle plunged into a huge pothole, almost hitting a track that was parked beside the road.
"I once almost rammed into a static track after flying over a pothole which I did not see on time," said the rider.
Franklin Onsoti a rider and a teacher professionally now wants the county boss to launch plans of repairing feeder roads to Kisii town as a way of promoting the town's growth.
"Governor Ongwae should authorise the repair of all feeder roads to town. These are the roads that bring traders into town and if they're in good condition, the town will grow with time," he said.
Everline Sagwe a fruit vendor at Nyankongo primary said there are difficulties in traveling along the road which is risky when it rains.
" we always find it hard to transport our goods when it has rained because the potholes are always filled with rainwater. This is risky because a motorbike may trip and cause an accident," said Everline.
