Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has asked his political rivals to give him humble time to deliver services to Kisii residents.
According to the ODM governor, he is focused on developing Kisii County but unnecessary political attacks and propaganda will derail his development agenda to the people of Kisii County.
Governor Ongwae urged his opponents to shun politics because it is not the right time for politics.
"We finished elections in 2017 and my opponents lost fairly. I am now urging my rivals to wait for 2022 to try their luck. For now, I ask all my opponents to support me in ensuring that I deliver the promises that I made in the campaigns," he said.
All am requesting now is that my opponents support me in pushing the development agenda and ensure that Kisii residents get access to good roads, improved healthcare and good education for their children," he said.
Governor Ongwae urged locals to shun politicians who are out to spread propaganda so as they maintain relevancy in politics.
“Residents are tired of hatred and divisive politics. Politicians should give the locals a break and wait for 2022 to vie again because it is only the electorates who will decide on who will be the governor, MP, senator, MCA,” he said.
