Nyaribabari Chache member of parliament Richard Tong’i has called upon Kisii county Governor James Ongwae to ensure that he comes clean and explain how the county funds have been used and above all clear his name over corruption allegations.
The MP said that Kisii County is among the counties that have been listed to have wasted tax payers money and they can’t be able to account for over Sh300 Million.
Speaking during a burial at Boronyi, Tong'i said that the county was lagging behind in terms of development due to lack of better leadership by Ongwae and said there is a need for the residents to ensure they make the right changes come 2017.
“It’s shameful to find out that the county assembly of Kisii has more than 3 accounts and both transact money that they can’t account for while others take loans without security,” he added.
