Kisii county governor James Ongwae has denied allegations that he is fighting Dagoretti South member of Parliament Simba arati and said he has no problem with him being crowned as the Gusii spokesman.
Governor Ongwae said that the outspoken city MP has the right to create his political mileage and seek any post as long as locals were okay with it.
"I am not worried about the entrance of Mr Arati in Kisii politics and his crowning as the Gusii spokesman is welcome. For me am busy working on the promises that I made to locals," he said.
He dismissed words that he was fearing the entry of the vocal MP in Kisii politics.
He also called upon all leaders from the county to unite with a common purpose of improving the livelihoods of Gusii residents.
Over the weekend, Mr Arati was crowned the Gusii spokesperson a move that has raised mixed reactions in the county.
However, Mr Arati has announced that he was not planning to run for any elective post in the county.
