Kisii County governor James Ongwae has challenged political leaders in the country to focus on uniting the Nation that according to him was disunited.
Ongwae speaking on Friday at Mosocho area Kitutu Chache South during the burial of Professor Tumbo Oeri said elected leaders should stop playing party politics and unite the country.
“I will not be tired urging politicians to embrace peace and unite the country. Kenyans need peace which must be realized when Jubilee and opposition leaders work together,” he said.
The county boss urged current leaders and those aspiring to be leaders to emulate the late professor.
“Our late brother was committed in ensuring there is peace. Let his death help us both from Jubilee and opposition coalition to unite the country,” added Ongwae.
He called on security team to be vigilant and arrest politicians and local leaders spreading hatred meant to incite Kenyans to fight.
