Business people in Kisii town have a reason to smile following plans by the county government to install water tanks to ensure constant supply of the commodity.

Addressing traders in the town on Wednesday, Governor James Ongwae said his government was working hard to address water shortage and has set aside funds to ensure full implementation of the project.

Kisii town experiences water shortage problems thereby stifling businesses. The storage tanks will ensure a constant supply of the commodity.  

He further revealed that the county government will construct public toilets in the town to improve sanitation and prevent spread of diseases. 

The traders welcomed the proposed projects saying they will help the county achieve its development goals. 

They said they will support projects aimed at improving the county.
