The chairman of Rural Electrification Programme Simon Gacharu has said that almost all public schools have been connected with electricity country wide.
He said 95 per cent of schools that did not have electricity have benefited from the Programme .
"22,249 public schools have been connected with electricity front the 47 counties," he said.
Speaking at Mount Kenya University on Tuesday, Gicharu said, only 233 schools are yet to be connected with electricity.
"We will be putting an advert in the local news paper for Kenyans to tell us which schools don't have power apart from 233," he added.
He pledged his support of ensuring that every public schools has power for the laptop project to be effective.
