The meeting which was convened by key ODM leaders among them Kisii Senator Chris Obure and South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya, resolved to form a political party to drive the agenda of the community.

But Mr Abuya has termed the leaders ‘greedy’, and insisted that only the Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has the ‘zeal and vision’ to unite the community.

“Sometimes I wonder how some people can purport to be uniting the Omogusii yet they concentrate on Kisii region ignoring Nyamira. Further more, some of these leaders have been in power for long and are just guided by their greed,” he said.

“It’s only Bosire who can unite the community given his zeal and vision in fighting autocratic leadership of Jubilee government. What we want is justice and fairness and that is what Bosire has been fighting for for the few years he has been in Parliament,” he added.

He warned members of the Abagusii community against heeding to calls from Mr Obure’s team, slamming it as 'visionless and myopic' in modern politics.

“I have been in politics for long and I know these people. The community should avoid them like a plague because in long run it’s all about politics and they are eyeing certain positions in Kisii County. They should not generalise the Omogusii to only residents of Kisii County,” said the former 'Seven Bearded Sisters'member in a phone call.
