A rebel Jubilee Member of Parliament from the North Rift region now says the National Super Alliance (Nasa) will easily win the upcoming general elections.
The Chesumei MP Elijah Lagat says Nasa's Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has a support base spread all over the country.
Speaking in Eldoret town, Monday, during the launch of North Rift Nasa presidential campaigns, Lagat claimed Jubilee is only assured of total support from the central regime.
"When you look at statistics, it's very clear that NASA will carry the day in the presidential election as only Central will vote as a block for Jubilee," noted the MP who defected to the opposition after loosing in the Jubilee party primaries.
"Nyanza, Western and Coast will definitely vote for Nasa overwhelmingly. We also have 57% support in Nairobi and 44% in Rift Valley," he added.
The MP is among several Jubilee leaders in the North rift who recently ditched to Nasa. Others include former MP's Peris Simam, Jese Mais, David Koech and former Ambassador Stephen Tarus.
