President Uhuru Kenyatta has been asked to consider holding dialogue with opposition leader Raila Odinga in a bid to bring to an end political impasse the country is facing currently.
Friends Church leader Bishop Henry Mukwanja says it only through dialogue that demonstrations and hatred among communities will be resolved.
Speaking at Soy, Uasin Gishu county, Mukhwanja noted that with the massive support both the President and the opposition leader command in the country, dialogue between the two will be a big step towards finding a lasting solution to political problems.
"We need dialogue among political leaders and Kenyans as well as this is the only way this country will find a lasting solution to current issues and bring Kenyans together," Mukwanja said.
The Friends Church leader, however, asked Kenyans to remain living together in peace and harmony irrespective of their political affiliations.
"It's a fact that the country is divided on tribal lines but our urge as church leaders is for Kenyans not to allow politics to divide them. We should continue living together in peace and harmony even amid our political differences," he added.
