Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto’s days of 'looting public resources' are numbered.

Speaking during his Western tour on Saturday where he welcomed several defectors to ANC, Mudavadi said UhuRuto will not withstand the waves of the soon-to-be-launched National Super Alliance (NASA) arguing that it is the only political outfit that will stop the duo from looting public resources.

Mudavadi also said that the new coalition has already won the hearts of many Kenyans.

“NASA is an unstoppable armada as it conquers county after county. We are winning not only the hearts of the people, but their minds too because it is only NASA that will stop Jubilee from auctioning the country through high-level looting,” he said, as quoted by the Star.

The opposition leader received several defectors fromVihiga including seven Members of the County Assembly (MCAs).

On his part, Lugari MP Ayub Savula said that the massive number of leaders defecting to ANC was an indicator that it is the party of the moment.

“The symbolic importance of these defections is the acceptance that Mudavadi is the unassailable Western leader, who is consolidating the region as a voting bloc,” he said.

Mudavadi has been urging Cord leader Raila Odinga, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula to back him for presidency in the August 8 polls.
