The call came on Saturday during an interdenominational prayer in Njoro which was led by Bishop Jackson Mwangi of Victorious Church.

"When the country seems divided, this is the time to go on our knees and ask God to intervene," said Bishop Mwangi.

He added that if Kenyans will embrace the art of prayers, then this nation will achieve better things.

Mwangi spoke at a time the Nation is polarized due to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) crisis.

The opposition has called for the resignation of current IEBC commissioners accusing them of failing the integrity test and being biased during their duty of holding free and fair polls.

The government side urged the opposition to follow the due process of law in sending the commissioners packing. The opposition has, however, accused the government of being insincere on its calls hence deciding to hold anti-IEBC protests.
