ODM leaders now say Raila Odinga is the only NASA principal who can defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 general election.
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Kibra MP Ken Okoth on Sunday said the former prime minister stood the best chance among NASA principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi to win the presidential election in August.
“People are saying that no Kalonzo no NASA what they need to know is that no Raila no NASA victory,” Okoth said, as per The Standard, appearing to respond to national assembly minority leader Francis Nyenze, who said recently that Kalonzo would walk out of NASA if he is not the presidential flag bearer.
The lawmaker said it was regrettable that some people wanted Raila to step aside for the other NASA principals, when he was the ‘most capable leader’.

Multiple unnamed sources quoted by the media in the past few days have said that a team tasked with recommending the best ticket have come up with Raila as the flag bearer and Kalonzo as the running mate.
NASA principals, however, dismiss these reports, saying they are yet to reach a decision.
