Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka ran amok and kicked Samuel Omwando when goons he had ostensibly hired heckled the legislator shortly before the arrival of Odinga at Kisii Sports club.

Odinga later met various aspirants at Kisii Sports Club where he read a riot act on those fighting within the party.

The rowdy youth were aghast that Onyonka had found his way back from Jubilee Party which he had earlier momentarily joined.

But an angry Onyonka followed up Omwando into the hall where he rained blows on him while accusing him of plotting his downfall.

He fingered Omwando saying he should take primary responsibility for the incident.

“Such behavior is unacceptable. People walk out to parties and return and nobody should victimize them for returning,” the MP told the Nation shortly after the incident.

Odinga did not get to witness the incident himself but got intelligence brief before denouncing

He said the opposition has a common enemy in the form of Jubilee and fighting will derail and even block their victory.

“Jubilee is the common enemy all of us we are fighting and fighting among is uncalled for,” he said.

He said hecklers have no space within the coalition.

He said more other fringe parties like Kanu and Chama Cha Mashinani would soon join them in NASA to fight in dislodging Jubilee from power.

Mr Odinga was in the region to rally part supporters to register in big numbers to kick Jubilee Party from power.

Interestingly, Mr Odinga’s registration had similarities with a Ms Ambayi Onyango from Siaya when he checked it up at the Kisii Municipal Hall polling centre.

He became the second senior politician after Wiper Party boss Kalonzo Musyoka to have their identities similar in the IEBC registration

Odinga called for an overhaul of the voter register by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission during his tour.

He said the current register contained ‘too much dirt ‘that must be taken out if the polls were to be free and fair.

He said as many as 1.5 million dead voters could be the current IEBC voter register who need to de-registered.
