Embattled Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka now says he is not compelled to work as NASA coordinator in Kisii County.

Onyonka is under pressure to quit his position after he allegedly endorsed reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday at a local church.

Responding to the claims on Tuesday, he singled out his competitor Sam Omwando as the person behind the circulation of the ‘untrue’ information.

“I am not desperate to be Odinga’s campaign manager. I can as well concentrate on my campaigns,” said Onyonka.

He added: “My competitor Sam Omwando is doing everything to taint my name. He does not want to compete maturely and I am tired of his antics.

Known for his floppy politics, Onyonka had briefly worked with Jubilee administration before returning to his ODM party which he subsequently decamped for Ford Kenya.

It is alleged that Onyonka urged his constituents to vote Kenyatta due to his ‘goodwill’ for Kisii community.
