Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has sensationally dismissed claims that at some point he joined Jubilee Party.
Onyonka says that his intention was strategic to find a way in which the government could initiate development projects for his constituents.
Speaking on Thursday, the second term MP said he was keen to ensure the opposition agenda is fulfilled adding that Jubilee administration was unfriendly to opposition MPs.
“I do not recall a time when I ditched ODM for Jubilee and if there is any, someone should remind me. I only reached Jubilee so that they could initiate development projects for my constituents,” he said.
“There are some benefits which government leaning MPs will get than those in opposition. My strategy could not work though because this government is complicated,” he added.
Onyonka also said his move to skip launching of Jubilee Party in September last year was an indication that he had no intention of Joining President Uhuru Kenyatta’s team.
