Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) rebel Richard Onyonka insists that he would rather lose in ODM primaries than win in Jubilee Party.
The Kitutu Chache MP made a shocking return to the Orange party, months after engaging the ODM leadership in public spat.
Speaking in his home turf Mosocho, Onyonka said the Orange party promoted social democracy and equity among Kenyans, ideals that he has fought for throughout his life.
“ODM party has stood with principles of social democracy and equity for a decade now. I have been implementation the same at all levels of governance and I have no interest at all to abandon what I cherish,” he said.
“I would rather lose in ODM primaries than win in Jubilee Party. This party has infringed to social-economic rights of Kenyans and should be deserted by good thinking Kenyans,” he said.
Onyonka is facing tough challenge from business mogul Antony Kibagendi and former Kisii Mayor Sam Omwando from the ODM party.
