Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka now wants the two voters challenging Governor James Ongwae's win to withdraw the petition.
Mr Onyonka said that the case will derail development in the county and affect the interest of many residents as compared to the two.
Speaking on Monday when the governor visited the family of the late Prof Tumbo, Mr Onyonka said that it was a shame that those who opposed governor Ongwae were behind the case.
“Governor Ongwae has a good track record in terms of delivering and it’s high time those opposing his win to stop it and concentrate on development matters and run for the seat come 2022 when Ongwae will be retiring from the post,” said Onyonka
The MP urged all leaders from the region to join hands instead so that they can be able to uplift Kisii County and create more employment opportunities for the youth who are languishing in poverty.
Last week, a voter identified and Makori Onsando moved to the court of appeal to challenge a move by the High court to challenge Governor James Ongwae's win in the August 8 polls.
