Embattled Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has dismissed claims by a section of Jubilee administration that opposition leaders Raila Odinga should retire from politics.
President Uhuru Kenyatta recently challenged Odinga to retire from politics due to his advanced age adding that he was ready to take care of him.
But Onyonka who accompanied Odinga to Luanda on Saturday said Odinga was visionary and important in Kenya politics.
“I have been with my party leader at Luanda for a rally and I can assure you he is older, stronger and wise to lead this country. He will be our fifth president,” he said in a Facebook post.
“I have even seen him playing soccer like a teenager and those associating leadership with age should revise well. Raila is the best president this country can have,” he added.
Onyonka, who survived an expulsion from the party for associating with Jubilee government, apologized recently during ODM National Convention and Bomas.
