Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has called on elected leaders from Kisii County to unite for the sake of ensuring there is accelerated development in the region.

The Ford Kenya party MP said divisions among leaders will make Kisii County to witness sluggish growth. 

“Kisii leaders need to be united to make it easier to push the national government to initiate projects in the region. MPs from the region need to have one voice which will be used to negotiate and bring more donors, sponsors to initiate projects in ou county,” Onyonka said.

Onyonka also challenged the MPs to support Governor James Ongwae to boost service delivery to the people of Kisii. 

“We should be near Governor James Ongwae and his Deputy Joash Maangi so that they can feel our support and offer quality services such as good roads, improved healthcare and education to our people,” he added. 

The lawmaker was speaking on Friday during the burial of his uncle Professor Oeri Tumbo at Mosocho, Kitutu Chache South Constituency.
