Kitutu Chache South MP and FORD-K deputy party leader Richard Onyonka, has criticized the ousting of his party leader from the Senate Minority position by ODM senators.
Speaking to journalists in Kisii town yesterday, Mr Onyonka scoffed at the Orange Party's decision for the removal saying it undervalued other NASA affiliate parties, a resulting move from Uhuru-Raila handshake.
"My party leader Moses Wetang'ula has been ousted from his Senate Minority position by ODM senators. I urge the ODM senators to be critical on this move knowing they may need him in their future political ambitions. If it has reached a point Raila has decided to work with the government he should involve every party in the coalition," he said.
He further said the opposition has been upfront criticizing the Jubilee government for lopsided developments, and Wetang'ula's ouster from the leader of Minority position will divide the coalition.
"We don't want isolation on those who are not willing to be part of the government. That's divisive politics and Kenyans now want politics of progress. All the NASA principals should dialogue on the better way to have talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta. If we keep fighting ourselves Uhuru will outdo us and our coalition will fall," added the third-term MP.
On Tuesday ODM senators unanimously voted for the removal of Moses Wetang'ula as Senate Leader of Minority with Siaya Senator James Orengo as his replacement.
