Mr Richard Onyonka, a rebel ODM MP has been pushing for Omogusii unity, an idea that has met resistance from a section of leaders from Gusii region who termed the move as a plot to auction the community to Jubilee government.

MP Timothy Bosire was the first to share the photo in Nyamira ODM Youth League Whatsapp group where he accused Onyonka and the team of allegedly taking favors from State House to hoodwink residents about unity.

“The photo shows how the Euro Bond dance is done. I wonder if we can continue having such kind of leaders in our community. Time has come for the youth to stand firm and say no to such egocentric people,” Bosire said.

Another ODM supporter accused Mr Onyonka and some of his colleagues for being ‘too cheap’ to be blackmailed by the Jubilee leadership.

“Onyonka dancing to show us how Jubilee has satisfied his stomach! This is absolutely funny. He should perhaps join comedy because we are not interested in people who are out to auction the community,” said Jason Momanyi.

However, Lydia Kerubo came to the defense of Onyonka saying he had a right to interact and work with all leaders regardless of the political parties.

“I don’t see the reason why we should crucify Onyonka for allegedly working with Jubilee. It is his constitutional right and I think we should give him the space. After all he has one vote,” she said.

In a message to the reporter, Onyonka urged leaders to be sober and tolerate divergent opinions.

“We cannot agree all times and that is why Kenya is a liberal country. Let’s embrace each other and accept each other’s opinions. It doesn’t mean when I work with Jubilee I have been bribed,” he said.
