Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi says Jubilee Party is always ready to welcome back Kitutu Chache South MP following his decision to rejoin Orange Democratic Movement.
Onyonka, who at some point was considered an ODM rebel, apologized to ODM leader Raila Odinga last year, where he also accused Jubilee government of unfulfilled promises.
The second time legislator has however, faced frosty relationship with ODM supporters from his backyard and was booed on Thursday during the party's grassroots campaigns which was presided over by Odinga.
"Onyonka is a lost sheep and Jubilee is the only safe haven for him. He has bee humiliated by people who belittles him and time has come for him to come back home," Maangi said.
"Doors are always open for him and he is at liberty to make a decision. ODM has always disrespected other leaders and this is the right time for him to make a move," he added.
Onyonka, who reportedly assaulted his opponent Sam Omwando on Thursday, maintains that he will face his opponents in the ODM primaries on March this year.
