Kakamega governor and ODM Deputy Party leader Wycliffe Oparanya has faulted the Auditor General's report unveiled on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Oparanya, who has also been an auditor with an experience spanning to 15years, described the Auditor General's report as "unethical", accusing the AG of using the wrong approach when conducting audits in the counties.
“If you hear that money has been spent on a project and documents are not available, you must carry out what is called an alternative auditing,” Oparanya said.
The latest Auditor General's report accused counties of misappropriating millions of public funds.
