Wycliffe OparanyaKakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has refuted claims going round in social media that he has defected to Jubilee.

He insisted that he was elected on an ODM ticket, and as the deputy party leader he was deeply rooted in ODM.

Oparanya accused the deputy president William Ruto of propagating the rumours while holding a rally in Kiambu on saturday 14th where it is alleged that Oparanya was among the 14 aspirants in Vihiga who had joined Jubilee.

"In the first place I was never a candidate in Vihiga and therefore a mention of my name in relation to vihiga county is baffling. I wish therefore to bring to the attention of the residents of Kakamega and the NASA fraternity that the statement by the deputy president William Ruto was cheap propaganda meant to tarnish my name," said Oparanya.

Oparanya further assured his supporters that he would continue working with NASA to transform the country and that he was in NASA to stay as he believed NASA is in a better position to transform the country and improve the lives of Kenyans.
