Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya has warned Bungoma Senator and NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula against intimidating ODM party candidates vying in Bungoma and Trans-Nzoia counties.
Speaking on Sunday, the ODM Deputy Party leader noted that the outfit has a democratic right of fielding candidates in all NASA strongholds, contrary to Wetangula's call to the Opposition party to withdraw its candidates from the two Western Kenya counties in favour of Ford Kenya.
Ford Kenya argued that they sacrificed their presidential bid through Wetang'ula in favour of ODM's Raila Odinga, and therefore would be courteous for the Orange party not to field candidates in its perceived.
‘’Everyone has a democratic right to contest any elective seat on any party,’’ Oparanya said.
He further called on the Luhya community to back NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's bid, arguing that they stand to gain much from a NASA leadership.
