The former darling to millions is rejected and chased by the electorate who feel used by Jubilee government and its fanatics.

Maasai land is tired of “kumeza mate” while Western Kenya cannot stomach ghost projects like the Pan/Rai Paper.

Baringo which is a home region to DP Ruto is no longer a safe haven for him and the blessed land of Miraa in Menu is also demanding accountability from the government.

Mombasa is only dealt with using threats but this is an anti-Jubilee zone. Human rights activist and a Jubilee Party ticket hopeful; Kipruto Kimosop isn’t sure of a win in Baringo.

"I am vying on a Jubilee ticket but it is very hard to market the party because locals claim the Government has sidelined them in terms of development," Kimosop said.

The locals also want Ruto to give them freedom of choice. This has forced former URP loyalists like Mochongoi MCA Jackson Tarus to decamp to KANU.

He complained, "People are reluctant to register because of insecurity and the majority do not even have identification cards. Our children are at home because we fear they might be attacked and killed by livestock raiders. Why should we defend a government that is not protecting its people or property?"

The Maasai land is also tired of abuses and empty promises while Western Kenya might not be a good option to Jubilee’s vote hunting mission.

While in Bungoma Collins Opate who chairs the Taxi Association summarized the dissatisfaction of the locals.

"We are tired of being taken for a ride by the DP. He has been here so many times yet our region still lags behind in development. We wanted to show him he is no longer needed," he said as quoted by the Star.
