The leaders we had in the past and those that are in power have done little to stump out tribalism. The same leaders get tribal backing whenever they are summoned to face the law.

However, electing Kalonzo Musyoka will mark the end of the ugly Kenyan tribal politics. The Standard newspaper quoted James Orengo saying “the time we’ll end tribalism in Kenya is when we will get the right leaders and I can confidently say before this congregation that Kalonzo is the most God-fearing leader in the country.” This is a statement full of wisdom from a staunch supporter of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The Siaya senator sees a great future if we elect Kalonzo as president. It will shield us from the unforgettable tribal wounds. If you doubt the negative influence of tribalism then have a look at Kenya's pre and post election activities since 1992. People loose lives and property because of questionable election results and ethnic political propaganda.

The 2007-2008 episodes should never be part of Kenyan history in future. Kalonzo is the best leader among the available options.
