The country has been embroiled in a tug of war between the government and the opposition over the disbandment of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The two political camps have marshalled their supporters to defy the call of the other, a situation that has led to a stalemate on the IEBC issue.
Kenyans, especially the youth, have engaged the police in a cat and mouse game in the streets during the weekly anti-IEBC protests.
Many have been injured while others have lost their lives.
Kenyans have however failed to realise that politicians lead them to problems every Monday.
Kenyans should know that politics is a deceitful game that should be carried out with out most care and with proper considerations.
The weekly demonstrations should be stopped and Kenyans should avoid the streets considering that there are other peaceful means of solving the stalemate.
Kenyans should have already realised that their political leaders have never brought their kids, wives, brothers or even parents to the chaotic protests.
They should therefore avoid the demonstrations as they put them at risk of losing their lives or getting injured.
The tendency by Kenyans to give a blind eye to the most obvious things should be stopped.
They should critically evaluate everything before giving reactionary measures.
Cord led by Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka should look for other means of solving the IEBC issue rather than endangering the lives of Kenyans on the streets.
The government on the other hand should also give dialogue a chance and help restore peace in the country.
