It is too early for National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters to celebrate victory. Raila has an uphill task ahead of him since President Uhuru Kenyatta is not a push over. Raila, a former prime minister has to change his tactics in order to dethrone Jubilee from power during the fresh election.
To begin with, the leader of the opposition needs to expand his secretariats and strategy team beyond Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and tribal lines. Raila will stand a better chance of smoking Uhuru from office if he opts to tap on the professionalism from all the political parties forming the alliance before the election date. Soldiers who are going to volunteer themselves on his behalf are likely to do better compared to those chosen to do so,
Secondly, Raila should adopt a new strategy on how he can reach out to more voters from his strongholds. Application of the Nyumba kumi strategy is likely to give him an upper hand over his competitor when that time come.
Thirdly, Raila has to establish a public tallying center. The tallying center will act as a platform for guarding his voters against theft. Cases of rigging reportedly took place during the last general election and a parallel tallying center will save the day.
