The president's approval ratings also rose to 68% nationally over the last three months up from 47%, with only 32% of those interviewed disapproving of his leadership.

This begs the questions, will the opposition go back to the drawing board? How will Raila Odinga keep the Coast region under his firm grip as has been the norm? Who will be his point men in the vast six counties at the Coast?

In respect to the poll findings, there is need for the Cord brigade to strategise on the way forward.

The coalition have an uphill task considering Raila's right hand men at the Coast have defected to the Jubilee party.

ODM legislatures who have showed signs of working with Jubilee include Gideon Mung'aro, Khatib Mwashetani, Zainabu Chidzunga, Masoud Mwahima, Philip Mcharo, amongst other legislators.

Loosing a large battalion of an army to your competitor is a political time bomb and a call to re-strategize.
