Does a child need an apology to forgive his father? Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has been right in the past but this time round he missed a point.
Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been like a political father to Mutua since he decided to enter the political arena.
Kalonzo has nurtured Mutua into becoming who he is today. The Maendeleo Chap Chap has no reason to ask Kalonzo to ask him for forgiveness if at all he appreciates his role in his career.
There are better ways to solve the differences between Mutua and Kalonzo. If Mutua has forgiven Kalonzo from the bottom of his heart as he claims then he should accept and move.
Taking him to court goes against the will of God. Forgiveness does not come with any condition. When Mutua gives Kalonzo an ultimatum it implies that he is not sincere to himself and the people advising him.
The incumbent has a long way to go hence he should not brush shoulders with his masters.
Kalonzo taught Mutua many things in the game of politics. There is no doubt that without Kalonzo Mutua might not be who he is today.
For his political future, the governor should stay away from Kalonzo’s path as much as possible.
