Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho stands a better chance of becoming Kenya’s president if the Kikuyu community betrays Deputy President William Ruto before the 2022 general elections.
Just like in the past, the Kikuyu community will want to have one of their own to defend the presidential seat.
If this is anything to go by, then Joho will be in a good position to walk to State House not as a visitor, but as Kenya's President.
Despite having an agreement in place, it will not be easy to rally the central region to vote for Ruto when that time comes.
At the moment, we do not have anyone occupying a high position and who can influence the entire Kikuyu community other than President Uhuru Kenyatta.
When Uhuru leaves office, Kenyan politics will take a different twist.
Agreements that seem to be binding right now will be broken.
Leaders from Jubilee as well as Cord will defect in a bid to be re-elected.
One of the people who will reap big from the breakdown of Uhuruto marriage is Joho.
The Mombasa governor has assured his supporters that he will be on the ballot box in 2022 and his greatest political opponent is Kalenjin Kingpin William Ruto.
