Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka must retain Machakos senator Johnson Muthama at all costs to avoid an ugly end to a colorful career.
The two leaders have denied a potential fallout but Kalonzo’s reaction to Muthama directives to Machakos governor Alfred Mutua and Makueni’s Kivutha Kibwana puts the former Vice President’s political progress at risk.
The outspoken senator demanded desolation of Maendeleo Chap Chap and Muungano parties. Muthama lashed at the Governors who are frustrating Wiper party push for total dominance of Ukambani.
Muthama said, “We don’t want to hear some people standing on one leg and running around pretending to lead the community.”
However, the party leader turned against his reputable defender and accused Muthama of divisive politics and failure to represent the Kamba interests in Cord.
“Mr Muthama, you are out of order. I am the party leader and I won’t allow anyone to bully other leaders in the name of campaigning for me. We nominated you to take care of our party interests in the Cord family, yet you are doing the opposite.
The party faithful will teach you a painful lesson,” Kalonzo responded as quoted by The Nation.
