There is a possibility of Machakos senator Johnson Muthama quitting Wiper party after its leader Kalonzo Musyoka angrily corrected him in public.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

The former vice President accused Muthama of misrepresentation of Kamba community in Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) and creating unnecessary rifts.

This scenario has made many think that senator Muthama’s political ship is capsizing. However, this is not the case because Muthama is a regional gem that established national parties will scramble for.

He does not need Kalonnzo’s party to get a second senatorial term. Jubilee Party supporters and leadership can pretend to hate Muthama but they will readily receive him if he decides to join Jubilee.

Most of them will praise the senator’s firm stand and encourage the Ukambani lion to join Aden Duale and Moses Kuria in faulting the opposition. This is an option that Musyoka should avoid as much as he can.

Another alternative that will assure senator Johnson Muthama a second term despite the opponent fielded by Wiper is remaining in Cord but decamping to Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

This is the most probable move considering the fact that Muthama chose to attend Cord press briefing as opposed to Wiper event.

As many come out to attack senator Muthama and others downplay the differences, Wiper should note that ODM and Jubilee parties are watching. They will readily receive the outspoken senator.
