Reading the minds of Kenyans today loudly, you will sense defeat and hopelessness. We are joining the league of other African states where a sizeable number feel that their future is either blank or bleak.
They have lost hope in the Executive the Judiciary and the Legislature due to perpetual graft from all the above quarters.
It was better while we waited. Now we have nothing to look forward to. The electronic and print media have run out of content not to mention anything inspirational, of hope or even a small sort of solution. They are busy parading the malaise to disintegrate further the speck of hope. It is appalling.
Africa and Kenya to the extreme is under siege of no growth, no future, hopelessness and further destruction of morals.
Kenyan leaders have this routine of jostling for political inheritance, more powers and how to benefit their families leaving their mantle to activists. It’s unfortunate that activists just chant. No change, total harassment and less none-fulfilled promises.
I am not being prophetic but rather expressing my predicament. I have seen it from far. Kenya is heading nowhere. Read or don’t, we are under siege. Corruption in hospitals, sanctuaries, judiciary, parliament and even in the executive. You don’t describe a dead body by watching it from inside a coffin. Everything is speaking for itself.
The government has been unable to tame joblessness allowing desperate, skilled youths to long for dubious engagements. The money love has lured bishops to political powers distorting the gospel through misinterpretation.
There is no hope. I don’t have a solution to the underlying issues eating up our society. Now that the government, church and all leadership spheres have failed, what is our next move?
Wait no more to hear collapse of government institutions, strikes, more corruption and less growth content from our media. Wait the unexpected. A collapsing world is peeping through. You better open your inner eyes and see.
