Kenyans from all walks of life have condemned the reckless and obscene remarks by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, after he asked women and young people to strip and show him their underwear during anti-IEBC demos.
Avideo clip emerged, taken by an amateur, shows Raila making the irresponsible remarks while addressing a group of young people.
"Kesho nataka kuona chupi za kina mama wote. Pia chupi za vijana wote (I want to see the underwear of all women tomorrow. Also the underwears of all young people),” the ODM leader says.
The obscene comments have attracted angry reactions from Kenyans, and rightly so, because Raila has clearly crossed the line of decency even in dirty politics.
Using #OnyeshaRailaChupi, a trending topic on Twitter, here’s part of what Kenyans, who have increasingly become sick and tired of the conduct of Raila, had to say:
In the recent weeks, women and young people have stripped naked openly to celebrate the Supreme Court nullifying President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win. Others have showed their nakedness during the anti-IEBC demos.
