Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi alias Sonko actions at Wavinya Ndeti’s home during the burial of her Nigerian husband tainted his reputation.
Sonko has always faced controversies while fighting for the rights of his people but this time round he got it very wrong, yes you read it right.
It is high time Sonko learned that funerals are not places to seek for popularity. Wavinya’s husband deserved a better send off than what the Senator displayed.
As much as Wavinya came to her defense, her family and relatives having little to smile about when they hear his name mentioned on any platform.
It is even perturbing to note that his actions forced Coalition for Reforms and Democracy co-principals led by Raila Amolo Odinga to leave Wavinya’s home unceremoniusly.
Apparently, Sonko is taking long to realize the pain of losing someone who matters in your life. Leaders should stop selling their political ideologies in places such as funerals.
There are other things that need to be discussed in such events rather than telling others that you are the president.
Sonko, who is vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat has always been at the center of drama. However, he seems to be going too far.
