Bonchari MP John Opore has rubbished claims by opposition leaders that President Uhuru's Jubilee party will not win elective posts in Gusii region.
He said the Jubilee Party had invested a lot in grassroots and was upbeat of winning a number of seats.
"You can't come from nowhere and start claiming that Gusii region is in opposition. Chest thumbing will cost opposition leaders in the coming polls. Jubilee has deep roots in the region," he said.
Opore said he will defend his seat from Jubilee party following dissolution of Ford People party.
"I am going to defend my seat on a Jubilee ticket. Without a doubt, I will win the seat and that is an assurance," he added.
He urged aspirants seeking elective posts to join Jubilee Party which he said will embrace free and fair nominations.
