Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina has called on his political rivals to stop politicizing his development projects in the region.

The vocal legislator has said he will not succumb to criticism from local politicians out to taint his name politically.

“We all contested and I emerged a winner during last year’s polls because the electorates had trust in me. It is sad for my rivals to start criticizing my development agenda to the people of Thika. I will be firm and ensure no one derail development in Thika,” he said.

The lawmaker assured that he will ensure Thika Township will be a 24 hour economy by installing street lights across the constituency.

"Traders operating within Thika Town constituency need to have trust in me because insecurity cases throughout my tenure will be zero. Street lights will be installed across the region to scare away criminals who takes advantage of darkness to steal from innocent locals,” he stated. 

Wainaina challenged his opponents to join hands together and help him in developing the constituency.

The MP said residents deserves good roads, improved health care at all local dispensaries among other developments which will only be achieved when there is unity among the leaders in the area.
