Politicians from the Western region of the country have been warned of an inevitable defeat in this year’s elections should they oppose appointment of Musalia Mudavadi asLuhya community spokesperson.
Mudavadi was installed as the community’s spokesperson following a research done by the University Of Nairobi Institute Of Research, which was sponsored by Francis Atwoli.
In an interview with KTN, political scientist Barack Muluka said Musalia’s experience in politics makes him the most popular leader from the region.
“I think it is very clear that Mudavadi is an experienced politician and deserved the accolade. He commends a pretty huge following from the region,” he said.
“I see a scenario where people who will oppose his appointment loosing elections this year. They face severe punishment from members of Luhya community,” he added.
A section of leaders allied to Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula among them Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa, have since dismissed Musalia’s appointment.
