Opposition coalition NASA has challenged the defunct North Eastern province residents to vote out the Jubilee administration during the August polls.

Speaking on Saturday during a political rally in Wajir County, the Opposition accused the Jubilee government of neglecting the region.

“When I was in the coalition government with President Kibaki, we created a ministry that was solely responsible for the development of this region and appointed Mohammed Elmi who is from here to take charge,” former Prime Minister Raila Odinga observed.

The ODM Party leader further pledged to ensure the implementation of the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report which probed historical injustices perpetrated against the people from the region by previous regimes.

“All those affected by the injustices will be compensated because the Jubilee government has refused to implement the TJRC report,” he said.

The Opposition endorsed Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi for reelection during the forthcoming polls.
