Speaking during a rally in Machakos Friday, the alliance presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka maintained that solid measures are being put into place to ensure that the rematch between NASA's Raila Odinga and Jubilee flag bearer Uhuru Kenyatta is completely free and fair.

He also said that the recent election nullification by the Supreme Court is another clear indication for candidates thinking about rigging an election that they can not get away with it.

''There never will be another rigging attempt in Kenya. We now know how to prevent it and how to deal with it should the thieves outsmart us,'' said the Wiper party boss.

His comments were echoed by Odinga who further maintained that the alliance is headed for a win in the October 17 poll.

He also said that his alliance is investing heavily in ensuring that the poll is watertight to ensure that only legitimate and real results come out.

''We won in the last elections by over one and a half million votes and will win by an even bigger margin in the rematch,'' said the ODM leader.

Odinga will battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the rematch.
