Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has noted the significance of the Bomas meeting scheduled for Wednesday that seeks to bring together over 4,000 opposition leaders who will chart the way forward as the country gears up to the August polls.
Speaking on Tuesday, the Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader said the meeting is aimed at bringing all the Opposition political players to form a united front that will send the Jubilee administration packing.
“The Bomas meeting will be the greatest symbol of a united opposition with a strong presidential candidate. There will be an advancement of talks to add other players to the opposition fold,” Khalwale said.
The legislator expressed optimism that the opposition will form a formidable team that can match the ruling Jubilee Party.
“We are going to find a solution to a headstrong Jubilee government that is forcing down the throats of Kenyans all manner of bad laws," he said.
Cord Leader Raila Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi are some of the key Opposition leaders who are seeking to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta in the next general elections.
