Conflict is looming in Nakuru county assembly over who should take up the position of minority leader this is after members of the minority side failed to reach consensus.
In a letter from ODM sitting members to the clerk dated 20th September 2017, the members express that they held a meeting at a hotel in Nakuru on 19th to nominate members to the minority house leadership but they did not reach consensus.
“We wish to bring to your attention that on 19th September 2017 we convened to nominate our members to the minority house leadership however the majority of members wish to express here that there was no consensus reached and thus dishonored the exercise,”reads part of the letter.
The minority members of the Nakuru county assembly at the moment include MCA Peter Palang’a (Olkaria Ward), MCA Wilbur Onyango (Kivumbini), MCA Peter Kajwang' (Kaptembwa), MCA Alice Kering (ODM nominated) and MCA Leah Sang (ODM Nominated).
